Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

System Design:

  • Develop comprehensive electrical designs for solar power systems, including panel layout, inverter selection, wiring diagrams, and calculations to optimize energy generation and efficiency.

Installation:

  • Oversee the installation of solar panels, inverters, batteries, and associated electrical components.
  • Ensure compliance with local electrical codes and safety standards.

Commissioning:

  • Perform system commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting to ensure all components function properly and meet performance expectations.

Maintenance:

  • Develop and execute maintenance plans to ensure the ongoing operation and performance of solar systems.
  • This includes routine inspections, cleaning, and component replacements as needed.

Project Management:

  • Coordinate project activities, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
  • Communicate progress and potential issues to project stakeholders.

Quality Assurance:

  • Implement quality control measures to ensure that installations meet or exceed industry standards and performance expectations.

Compliance:

  • Stay up-to-date with local regulations, building codes, and industry standards related to solar power systems.
  • Ensure all installations comply with these requirements.

Troubleshooting:

  • Diagnose and resolve electrical issues and system failures quickly and efficiently to minimize downtime and maximize energy production.

Documentation:

  • Maintain accurate records of system designs, installation procedures, maintenance activities, and performance data.

Training:

  • Train and mentor junior technicians or team members to enhance their skills and knowledge of solar electrical systems.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in designing, installing, and maintaining solar power systems, with a focus on 200 KVA installations.
  3. Proficiency in electrical design software and tools.
  4. Strong knowledge of solar PV technology and electrical components.
  5. Understanding of electrical codes and regulations related to solar installations.
  6. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  7. Project management skills, including budgeting and scheduling.
  8. Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  9. Commitment to safety protocols and practices.
  10. Relevant certifications (e.g., NABCEP) are a plus.
